Expressing that the paper sector agrees that 2025 will be a difficult year, SUN-KA Paper Sales Director Mehtap Yavuz stated that the growth strategy with exports is not an option but a necessity. Stating that they went through a restructuring last year in line with the growth target in the US market, Yavuz explained that they expect to see the results of this activity within the year. Yavuz emphasized that they export to more than 50 countries and that they will provide market diversity thanks to their product diversity.

The new factory will be put into service in 2026

Mehtap Yavuz, who stated that they will implement a series of investments in the upcoming period, noted that the factory to be established in Sungurlu OSB with an investment of 1 billion TL will be put into service in 2026. Yavuz said, “Our facility, which will operate with a zero-waste approach, will have a daily capacity of 400 tons. 25 tons of steam will be produced per hour using fuels such as RDF, biomass and coal. In this way, approximately 2.5 MW of electricity will be produced with the back-pressure steam turbine. In addition, we will obtain our electrical energy from clean sources with the rooftop GES. The water management of the facility will also be in line with green transformation.”
